Dave Ramsey and the tools and techniques that we learned while taking and completing the Financial Peace University class has revolutionized our marriage.  His sound, concise, and biblical financial teaching has done wonders for us in ways we could never have imagined.

Statistics tell us that financial stress is one of the top stressors in marriages in the U.S., and Michelle and I were no different.  When conflict occurred, much of the time it was regarding the spending, saving, and giving away of the resources God had blessed us with.  It seemed as though we could never get on the same page and it was frustrating.  We felt as though the money was controlling us instead of us controlling the money. We desired to be good stewards but just didn't have the necessary tools...FPU changed that.

During the 13 weeks of Financial Peace University, we learned countless strategies and sound, concrete, and biblical advice from someone who has experienced the ups and downs of finances, Dave Ramsey.  Using the techniques taught in FPU, we now control where the money goes.  We are now on a monthly written budget and we know where every penny goes each month.

Much of the conflict that we experienced before the class regarding finances has diminished because we now are on the same page.  We understand the purposes of a monthly written budget and the financial goals we are working towards.

This class has been incredible for our financial well being, but more importantly our marriage.  The FPU course has equipped us with the tools necessary to be better stewards of the financial blessings that God has provided us with as well as improve our communication as it deals with our finances.

The reason that we are excited about teaching this class is that we want people to experience hope and financial peace so that, "they can live like no one else so that they can live like no one else."

In 2009, the families at Hope paid off $87,337 in debt and saved $36,246, DURING the 13 weeks of the FPU class!  That was an average of $6,718 of debt paid off and $2,788 saved on average per household.

Join us as we seek together to learn new and resourceful ways to get rid of debt and save for the future!
