The Greatest Story Ever Told
- Pastor Duane Cross, Pastor David Hillis

Are you getting the most out of your Bible? Do you think of the Bible as:
- An emotional antacid tablet, that you take in only when your stomach is tied in knots?
- A sleeping tablet, that you pull out of the nightstand as a sure cure for insomnia?
- A bunch of ancient wisdom literature, pertinent to some bygone culture but irrelevant for today?
- A book you know you should read about, but...
In the sermon series and churchwide spiritual growth campaign called "The Greatest Story Ever Told," we will look at the basics of all of the different types of literature in the Bible, their historical context, and most importantly, how they can be and are relevant to our lives today in 21st-century America. As we walk through the Bible we will look at individual stories from each portion of the Bible, step by step:

During this special churchwide campaign, we strongly encourage everyone to be in a GROW Group for two months, even if you haven't currently been in one. Start of 2010 by selecting one of the groups from our GROW Groups list, where you will make some new relationships and study the Word together for an hour each week.
Our thanks to Bruce Bickel and Stan Jantz, for their book Knowing the Bible 101: A Guide to God's Word in Plain Language, which was the inspiration for the major topics for this series.
