LIFE TOGETHER

One of my favorite books of all time is Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s Life Together. After his martyrdom at the hands of the Gestapo in 1945, Bonhoeffer continued his witness to the hearts of Christians throughout the world through his Letters and Papers from Prison, and later through Life Together.

This book is the story of a unique fellowship in an underground seminary during the Nazi years. It gives practical advice on how life together in Christ can be sustained in families and groups. He talks about the role of personal prayer, worship and Christian service as the spiritual roots needed to sustain life in the midst of severe adversity. I recommend this book to each of you, especially during these troubled days of moral and financial decline.

Our life together at Hope Covenant Church is one of our highest values. We best experience this life in “Grow Groups” and I would like to invite each and every one of you to make being part of a growing dynamic group a high priority.

We are, as always, better together.

Sincerely,
