Welcome to this new feature of our website. Each week I will write a brief update on what is happening at Hope Covenant Church and celebrating what God is doing in the life and ministry of our community.
I'm still basking in the wonder of Easter weekend. The Good Friday service outside was a powerful testimony of God's grace. Anna Rittenhouse, Sharon Lacey and Austin Diehl reflected beautifully on what it meant to be in the shadow of the cross. At the sunrise service, Steve Reed shared a beautiful Easter message while our youth band led us in stirring songs of faith. Thanks to Angi Emery and her team, we had a wonderful Easter breakfast served throughout the morning. Then, in our two worship services, with great music and a powerful drama leading us to the Easter story, I was amazed and moved as over 25 people prayed to receive Christ after the services. What a great and loving God we serve. I can't express to you how much I love serving beside you, Hope Covenant Church, as we are obedient to God in proclaiming the news that "He is Risen - He is Risen indeed!" Thank you for your faithfulness in "INVESTING AND INVITING" over the weekend.
Well a new week begins (no fooling!), and there is much going on to help you CONNECT & GROW & SERVE. The website will provide further details, but let me highlight some exciting events coming up:
- Grand & Glorious Garage Sale (this Friday & Saturday)
- Men's Retreat (April 18-20)
- "He Has Done Great Things" all-church
celebration on Sunday, April 27, 5-8:30p
- catered by Tom's Barbeque
- Celebration of God's goodness
- Will have a country music theme, and will include live dancing, including line dancing (in a Covenant church? Yes!)
