Branded - Human trafficking

branded is a feature length documentary that explores the dehumanizing realities of prostitution and the devastating effects it is having on the lives, neighborhoods, and communities of Phoenix, AZ. The film also highlights the courageous work being done by the Phoenix Police Department, the Phoenix Police Department VICE Unit, the Sex Crimes Bureau, Dignity House, various non-profits, and members of the government to combat this social injustice. branded exists to inform and motivate individuals to tangible, purposeful social action against the sex slave trade of children and to honor the victims of those caught up in the terrible wake of this living nightmare.

Come for a community-wide experiential screening of the film branded.  This two-hour event will include a follow-up Q&A time, where you can ask questions of local law enforcement, local leaders in the forefront of the fight, and one lady who was formerly trafficked in the Valley.  Interactive displays will also be set up in the lobby after the film.

Behind the film

A movement has begun to end the sexual exploitation of women and children that is rampant in our city.

Churches, government, marketplace leaders, and no-profits have been collaborating to raise advocacy, develop preventative programs, and build a holistic secure community for the rehabilitation of those coming out of child prostitution.

It has been the collective belief that the City of Phoenix could be an example to cities in our nation and around the world of the enormous potential when different sectors of society come together to meet physical, spiritual, and social needs.
