SHADRACH, MESHACH & ABEDNEGO’S 3 TESTS
TEST #1: TAKING A STAND ON THE LITTLE THINGS (Daniel chapter 1)
What seemingly little things are you dealing with that are trying to get you to compromise?
Go along with the crowd?
TEST #2: TAKING A STAND IN PRAYER (Daniel chapter 2)
What is out of your control that you need to pray for consistently and expectantly until God answers?
TEST #3: TAKING A STAND, REGARDLESS OF THE OUTCOME (Daniel chapter 3)
“Faith can move mountains, but don’t be surprised if God hands you a shovel.” — Unknown
When God calls you to pick up your shovel, will you be ready?
Are you prepared to stand for Christ, even when your own neck is on the line?
FINAL THOUGHT
Christ calls us to be different. To stand out, not just blend in with the crowd, because of our unwavering commitment to live wholeheartedly for Him. Do you? How much are you now willing to risk in order to obey a clear command of God?
“We are surrounded by a great cloud of people whose lives tell us what faith means. So let us run the race that is before us and never give up. We should remove from our lives anything that would get in the way and the sin that so easily holds us back. Let us look only to Jesus, the One who began our faith and who makes it perfect. He suffered death on the cross. But he accepted the shame as if it were nothing because of the joy that God put before him. And now he is sitting at the right side of God’s throne. Think about Jesus’ example. He held on while wicked people were doing evil things to him. So do not get tired and stop trying.” — Hebrews 12:1-3 (NCV)
